That's two bad RD, an AHL guy that might be able to sneak into a bottom-6 role at some point in his career and a 2nd Round pick 2 drafts from now for a top-4 RD.

I don't see anything hear that compels Nashville to consider this trade.

A Fabbro trade doesn't get done without Bourque, Bichsel, or Kyrou

Remove these playoffs, Miller has been a decent bottom 6 RHD who can replace Fabro (not his quality, but his place).

Yes, I do agree Hakanpaa is a dump, but it's only for one year, I can add an extra 3rd to get rid of him.

The pick is only in 2024, it's not that far away.

Implying that to get Fabro you need a Bourque/Bischel caliber prospect to get someone like Fabro is delusional, they're the starting price for a premier top 4 RHD like a Carlo or a Pesce for example. Although I do agree that maybe a Kyrou/Grushnikov caliber prospect would be more suitable than a Stranges.

Miller is an overpaid bottom-6 defenseman that provides very little (if any) value to anyone. You can hit the free agent market and get a better depth option for the same money, or less.

Hakanpaa has very little value as well. Same as Miller, a team like Nashville can hit the free agent market & get someone like Schenn for less money who plays the shutdown RD role better than Hakanpaa

If I'm trading a 24-year old, top-4 caliber RD to a divisional opponent, I'm absolutely not budging unless I get an impactful prospect in return. Nashville has no incentive to trade Fabbro, which means they have no reason to accept anything less than an overpayment from a team they are going to see 4-5 times a season.

I agree with you. And the overpayment would probably be a Kyrou type of prospect + A first round pick + Some salary dump with either Miller or Hakanpaa.

Not sure if Dallas would need to add a 1st Rounder to someone like Kyrou, but with how late our 2nd is this year, if I'm Nashville I'm looking for Kyrou + 2023 2nd Round Pick just for Fabbro.
