Trades
1.
EDM
  1. 2023 6th round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Montreal as a placeholder ofc
MTL
  1. Ceci, Cody
Additional Details:
Per Frank Seravalli on ON Everyday: “If you wanted to move on from Ceci…you could get probably something like a late round pick”
2.
EDM
  1. Tippett, Owen
Additional Details:
I'm not sure how much Philly values Tippett and I might be overpaying here, but I would be all over him from an Edmonton standpoint. Since the Kane injury, finishing has been an issue with no elite finishers on the team except for McDavid and Draisaitl themselves. Tippett immediately solves that, scoring 17 even strength goals on 16.26 xG. For reference, Zach Hyman scored 15 on 28.74 xG. If Tippett gets the same opportunities that Hyman gets due to playing with McDavid or Draisaitl...watch out.
Cap space is also likely to make a massive jump next season, so $1.5M as a pending RFA next season doesn't worry me too much.
PHI
  1. Bourgault, Xavier
  2. Yamamoto, Kailer
  3. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
I'm basing this package similar to what Kevin Fiala fetched. Of course, Tippett isn't as accomplished of a player as Fiala, which is why the draft pick and prospect are slightly lesser in value
3.
EDM
  1. Tanev, Christopher ($2,250,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Pending UFA but phenomenal defensive stats. Solid at zone denials which is exactly Nurse's weakness (could prove to be a solid pairing). Calgary feels like they're trending towards a rebuild, and there's no incentive in keeping Tanev just to lose him in a year.
CGY
  1. Broberg, Philip
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (EDM)

That might get Tanev to any other team in the leauge, but I don't see Calgary helping out Edmonton. Plus rebuilding seems like a swear word in this organization. The best time to rebuild would have been starting with Tkachuk last offseason, but they did a win now package, so they are committed to contending for a few years(even tho they Will forever be mediocre with this method)

I take it as Calgary, it's good asset management. However, EDM might be on Tanev's 10 team no trade list.

I'm still going to cheer against EDM winning the cup, but that's a formidable roster. Goaltending remains the only real weakness.

Flyers have no desire to trade Tippett right now, he blossomed this season and would need a hefty offer to get him, also since his contract is very team friendly.

With what your GM said, it seems he's listening to every offer. What could Edmonton give up that would cause Philly to accept?

While he is listenig to all offers, some players are being viewed as guaranteed futures and would need a pretty big deal to have them traded. If Tippett were on the market your current trade proposal feels like a good foundation, but they might ask for another high pick, a couple more mid to late picks, or another near NHL ready prospect. Not saying all three potential asks need to be added, but something like it.

This is all going off my knowledge of how each player was utilized in the season, and Tip was one of the most utilized and praised, so it seems the Flyers want him around long term unless they get a real "knock your socks off" offer.
