Sharks don’t need retention it only lowers the return. Also zero reason for SJ to move their 2nd. 3rd is the max they would send…got to be realistic, Murray isn’t Mrazek, Sharks don’t NEED Murray, they can easily sign a goalie in UFA who has a better injury track record. Murray is a risk as he can’t stay healthy also his NTC dictates here too. All in all its a pretty easy pass and I don’t see it happening .

San Jose isn’t in the same boat Chicago was last year. Chicago needed cap to meet the flier, San Jose doesn’t. Not the same situation and not the same trade.

Although the Sharks need another goalie, they would rather look into the UFA market. The only way I can see us taking on Murray is if you take Labanc and give us mid to late draft picks.
