Garland can’t be on the team after Summer ‘24. Reports are saying his value is flat due to the need for EP40 extension. I would bet TB would give you a mid-pick if you retained Kapanen down to a $1.2M cap hit. That’s $5M free for you to give EP40. It’s a no-brainer imo.

I don’t necessarily disagree but they’re similar. That would be the framework. If he requests a trade, they would likely try to accommodate.
