Description
The core showed that it can go far in the playoffs so no need to make big changes to the roster moreso just improve it by adding. This team could definitely be a cup contender.

Florida needs a top 4 LHD who isn't a liability defensively. With the new cap space we don't have to resort to Marc Staal on the second pair.

I went with a pretty big trade here. Calgary is looking for a top 6 forward and Duclair is just that at a cheap deal. The trade has been approved by some Flames fans so it should be fine enough.

I'm 50-50 on bringing back Gudas on one hand he's a locker room leader and makes Florida scary to play against but on the flipside he takes stupid penalties that can cost games. If Florida can't sign him to a contract worth under 2 million I don't think they should bring him back.

Replaced Duclair with Mantha who I could see be a two-way 25 goal scorer if he can stay healthy. Mantha is very undervalued currently so I could see Zito go for him.

Filled the top 9 with a solid, big and young player in Fischer. Don't know exactly his value but I don't think he would cost anything too outrageous. Other option could be someone like Ty Dellandrea.

Can't do too much with the goaltending but with the improved defense I'd hope Knight takes a step forward and Bobrovsky can be decent. Hopefully in the playoffs one of them can shine.
First chance for a change is during the 2024-25 season when Bob's NTC turns into M-NTC.

Overrall I'm optimistic about next season, they just have to stay cool and be humble to not become the Bruins.

I don't hate it but I would rather keep Reinhart because he is way more well rounded, which is probably also why Calgary would prefer him.

Calgary would prefer a bonafide 1st line winger if they are moving Hanifin. No disrespect to Duclair but to me he's more of a 2nd line winger with an engine, Flames have a lot of those right now between their current players and young giys poised to make the team
