Description

If Edmonton does little in terms of roster change over, I would not be surprised nor upset.

I know the consensus is that EDM needs to move on from Yamamoto however I would only do so if you could net a positive return. Under no circumstance am I paying to give him away, nor buying him out or putting him on waivers. You have a player in Foegele who would net you a positive return making very similar money, move on from him and give his icetime to Holloway / Kostin at a fraction of the cost.

Sign a few veteran players Toews and Perry would be ideal but there are other options such as Craig Smith.

Doing little this offseason allows you to see what you have in Holloway, Broberg and Lavoie (who saw Skinner making the impact that he did??). While also identifying weak points within the team and addressing it in season like the Ekholm trade.
