    The Hurricanes have almost 25MM in cap space and don't need futures. They would be better off treating him as a rental and letting him walk at the end of the year than doing this trade.

    That’s nonsensical asset management. You get a top prospect/NHL’er who’s tracking to be a top 4D plus a pick & your response is I’d rather let him walk……..C’mon dude, you don’t really believe that do you.
