Description
I’ll preface this by saying that this is all speculation and a bit of my own opinion. These are merely targets from what we’ve heard from sources like Elliotte Friedman, Thomas Drance, Jeff Marek, and Frank Seravalli. Starting with the draft I would say there’s an 80/20 chance the Canucks keep the pick, there’s always a chance they deal it for immediate help. They’ve interviewed Zach Benson, Tom Willander, Nate Danielson, Matthew Wood, and a few others. For top end talent at 11 I think you would like shoot for someone higher, but go for either Willander or Danielson. Dhaliwal and Shah have dangled the idea of trading back, I’m not opposed to that if you could offload Garland or get another pick in the second or third round.

Reports are that the free agency class is weak. However the Canucks likely have their eyes on someone to buyout OEL. They have a lot of different options to weaponize their cap space. Names linked to them have been Kerfoot, Schenn, and Barbashev. Those will be the targets in this.

Every contact is give or take. There’s $2.26mil built in for that

I'd probably pay that for Beauvillier.

I would not give that large contract extension to Barbashev.
I would give him a 4 year or 5 year contract extension.
But good luck to Vancouver caz it ain't easy to get a really good player like Barbashev.

I mean if you don’t get him you just keep Beauvillier or Garland around. He’d be great but so would Lucic and Beauvillier.

I can see Lucic as a Vancouver Canuck.
Preferably as a third-line left wing/right wing.

NSH likely declines. Not because the deal is bad per say, but because NSH is already weak at center, and trading away on of the reliable one's that we have without getting one in return is a problem.
