Kuzy would be interesting but this draft is deep and has some serious talent in it. I just can’t see the Jackets moving the 34OA for a risky player like Kuzy. The Jackets would be more likely to trade depth pieces for him. Only sticking point is his contract AAV. Unless Washington is willing to eat a portion of his contract, the Jackets are likely not interested.

If we’re getting hall, Boston should honestly be paying to dump that contract. No reason for any team to help boston get out of this cap nightmare they’re in.

Remember when Pacioretty cost the knights Coghlan to be moved? Hall for future considerations is where I’d start those negotiations if Boston calls. They can keep him if they don’t like that offer. Bertuzzi and Barbashev and Domi are just as good if not better UFA options, or use assets to acquire a guy like Sharangovich.

Just my 2 cents.

I was going back and forth between Hall and Barby. I feel Hall will bounce back in an expanded roll and thought barby might cash out due to his playoff performance but I’d be happy putting barby there too

Honestly Barbashev might be the play then. I originally didn’t want to give him the contract he’s gonna get in UFA but he might be worth it after seeing how he popped off in the playoffs. He’s still young enough, too.
