Description
Last one, I promise.
According to Frank Seravelli it’s sounding like Lindholm won’t be resigning. Maybe if he’s willing to do some sort of sign and trade to CO Newhook could be a piece. I know a lot of people crap on Girard but he’s not as bad as what most people think. Plus he’s under contract for 4 more years. Brannstrom is then brought in to be a Girard replacement on the 3rd pairing. I like Frankie more than Korpisalo and signed him to the same term but unfortunately had to use him as the key piece for Brannstrom.

Manson gets traded to EDM and waives his clause to be reunited with his dad. Mayfield is brought in as a slightly cheaper option. Maybe he’s open to the idea considering he played at DU and seems to like the area.

Moved out CO 1st this year and turned it into a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th to use in this years draft considering their draft pick pool was depleted. I also moved our CO 24’ 1st. Not sure if they’re really interested in moving 2 1sts.

I’m sure there will be plenty of interest in Sharangovich so I’m not sure what it would take to acquire him but I’d love to have him on the 3rd line.

A handful of reclamation projects in Drouin, Puljujarvi, and OEL. I’d like to see Drouin reunited with Mac. He’ll never live up to his draft pick potential but sometimes a change of scenery can really help a guy. He’d have some familiarity as he’s played with both Mac and Lehky. Puljujarvi is friends with Rantanen I wouldn’t really expect much from him but maybe he could become a serviceable middle 6. I think if OEL were to get completely healthy he could be a decent 6-7 dman.

I left some $ available to be flexible with the Byram/Newhook contracts. If not just use the cap space available for the trade deadline.

The Branny trade is tempting, but Ottawa already has a 1B goaltender and is actively looking for a long term 1A. I think the value is right for Branny, just not the right fit.

Hawks decline. That's a big overpay to move up 8 spots to #27. Chicago 2nd and Rangers 2nd is the best CO gets.

Hawks say yes...but the value on the picks is lopsided in their favor. #27 for #44, #55, & #67 is much closer to fair value.

Must have revised Hawk 2nd to Ott 2nd? picks I see are lopsided in Hawk's favor.
