It's for the best.

Should have happened last year when Gaudreau left. Now they're forced into a rebuild. Not a bad thing.

If they kept all of these guys, when that new arena opens in 4-5 years, they'd have an old, slow and likely bad team. This at least gives them a shot at a good, young team when that billion dollar building opens.

Devils fans have seen our share of sell-offs.

Gaudreau/Tkachuk departures always remind me of Parise/Kovalchuk in 2012/2013.
