Description
The goal is to build a deeper team. The challenge is to acquire players to win now without completely bankrupting the future. It’s a difficult thing to do but these trades create a nice balance. We would be losing Nylander but replacing him with Ehlers.

Instead of overpaying Carolina for Pesce, get a cheaper undervalued Demelo and an adequate veteran stay at home Dman in Rutta.

This team is a nice mix of skill and sandpaper. The organization has talent for now a without letting go of the future.

Because they need to look to the future and those 2 aren’t the future.

i don't think this would make you any better, the 3 players form the Penguins are overpaid/fringe players(Smith). It would be Ehlers plus junk for Nylander. I'll take it as a Pens fan, but doubt Treliving would be that foolish.
