Explains things best but yea this is probs whats gonna happen. Sammy will also probs get more (3.4-4mill is the projection on a 2-3 year deal)

I suspect Murray on LTIR and a Timmins trade

What are the Leafs adding to move those two contracts? Hawks just got a 2nd from the Islanders to eat Bailey’s $5m cap hit which included $3.5m in actual $$ for the upcoming season.

Murray and Timmins combined carry close to $6m in cap hits and more than $9m in actual $$ paid out. Have to believe it will cost a 1st round pick + to move the two of them.

It was actually 3rd and 7th round picks however, you are leaving out one very important fact, the Leafs needed a goalie, the Hawks don’t.
