I don’t expect the Senators to get a great return for DeBrincat given the fact that Anaheim, Detroit and the NYI are the three leading suitors for his services.

Remove Maggio and a 2nd, choose between Dufour and Wahlstrom

Pageau (retained) + Dufour/Wahlstrom + 1st + 2nd

And that'd be an EXCELLENT return

Ur not getting retention on Pageau, because it does not work cap wise for NY and it’s just not necessary. Also, the fact is that Anaheim and Detroit are going to be reluctant to move their own first round picks next year. Also if the isles trade for DeBrincat their pick won’t be high in the draft order either. I expect Dorian is looking for a similar return to the Dubois trade, which none of these three teams can offer. That’s why I mentioned the Sens three current suitors and why the Cat return will most likely be underwhelming imo.
