If that’s what it will cost to trade for DeBrincat, I’m all the way out the door

Wouldn’t mind the Gibby trade though if he is going to get traded

I think Max Jones should be in the lineup over both McGinn and Silfverberg

I don't see Gibson getting moved this season. Maybe at the TDL and we take some expiring contracts back to make cap work, but more likely next off-season if he does move, the cap jump makes his contract much easier to absorb.

I really don't think we're in on Cat either, we don't have the defensive capability to mitigate his utter lack of defense. I would also rather throw 10 at Nylander as a UFA than the nearly 9 that Cat is looking for.

I’ll take Debrincat for that. It’s a quality package but also something the ducks can live with.

Jones isn’t good and doesn’t kill penalties. Silfverberg may be bad too but he’s on the PK at least and McGinn is better than both.

I stay away from Nylander especially at 10M. Debrincat is younger and a goal scorer the ducks sorely need.

As for Gibson, it seems it trending toward a trade based on some of the insider talk out there. I don’t believe he said he’ll never play another game for the ducks but he obviously wants out and Verbeek is looking to recoup some value for him. Trading him without retention for a conditional pick seems like the best route at this point.

I think Nylander is every bit the scorer that Debrincat is, he is not a liability defensively, he has the size to not get injured, and he plays RW predominantly over LW. If the difference in AAV is less than 2 million, I'm in on Nylander over Cat.
