Description

Just messing around here. I don't think Canes actually get EK, nor do I really want them to. I think we'd be better suited to move Skjei and flip assets for another top 6 piece while keeping Turbo & Pesce.

Asking my Dallas buddies - is Harley available? If not, could sub him out with Borque?

Skjei could go to any team for picks/prospects in this scenario that would be used as part of the EK trade as well.

Getting Duclair along w/ EK would be ideal to address top 9 scoring at the same time.

Avoided the TDA trade in this scenario b/c I think if EK does get done before this weekend, that trade gets scrapped. Doesn't make sense to bring in TDA not to run a PP unit which he wouldn't w/ Burns & EK manning the 2 units.

Yeah, I didn't think you did after looking at the depth chart w/ the Soucy signing but figured maybe you could slide Skjei into 2nd pair and either flip Soucy to play w/ him on that pair or move him onto third. Was honestly struggling w/ teams that would be looking for an LD that aren't completely rebuilding. ANA came to mind and maybe they'd sign him to an extension to insulate their young prospects but I wasn't sure they'd want to give up draft picks/prospects to actually do it versus hoping for him in FA the following year.

I like this- but I'm sure Dallas isn't moving Harley. If they are for Pesce, I take that deal all day.

Yeah, I doubt it too - could re-structure the deal if they'd consider it or look elsewhere if not. Was something different though, tired of seeing the same trades on here lol

Dallas isn't in a position to trade away Harley. They need to add a defenseman to Harley & Heiskanen in order to help fill out the top-4. Pesce is obviously a nice piece to add, but it still leaves Dallas with a couple of holes in their top-4, if they were to move Harley. If they make a Pesce deal, it'll likely have to be centered around Faksa/Marchment (for cap purposes) and prospect(s)/pick(s)
