Only problem (ok, not the only problem, but the biggest) is that the window for signing Poehling is closed and Ikonen is under contract in Europe for another year. But for 2018 ... let's hope!

I'm open to all surprises. Though I'm positive these two players won't be playing in the NHL this season (for reasons mentioned above), I'd really love to see our rookies perform and come back strong next year.

Let the old ragged team head to the playoffs this year, fail, and be traded away for rejuvenation by a possibly new GM.
