Description
I'm not sure how realistic my FA adds are, so feel free to tear me apart on that. I think Hellebuyck would love to finish his career in his hometown and then there's the Yzerman connection with Stamkos. Maybe Stamkos just wants to stick with TBL but maybe they're trending downwards two years from now. This really put into perspective for me how meh-to-bad the Chiarot/Copp/Compher/Holl signings are for DET. I think by '25-'26 they all end up 3rd-line/bottom pairing or bought out which is a lot of money to tie up there. I think they could have made a better top-6 addition if not for some of those.

Love Stamkos and Wilson but why sign them in two years? Stammer 35, Wilson 31 and with his brand of hockey likely trending down. Hellebuyck also 32 and for that money? That would be kind of a yikes. I think he wants to go to a winning team now that he is still an elite goalie, not one that might be good in 3 years. You really don't need Stamkos or Wilson cause guys like Rasmussen and Soderblom plus others likely have a bigger roll on the team.

I decided to make some changes because I forgot DeBrincat seems likely to end up in DET.

I think Stamkos to age 38 at this cap hit is fine. Hellebuyck expires at 38 as well. I think that's fine. I kinda just settled on Roslovic as 2RW, but there's maybe a better option there. Like I said, I hate Yzerman's recent signings because he's tying up too much cap to mediocre when he could be making a better signing than Roslovic.

Alright, I've opted to drop Roslovic and put DeBrincat on his natural wing, moving Mazur up to 2LW. Is Soderblom or Rasmussen a better option there?

There are a few things on here that are probably not accurate. For one; the cap is projected to go up at least 10 million over the next two years. So we're talking 94 million not 87. Second; I seriously doubt that Yzerman is going to tie up 17 million dollars for two 32+ year olds. Especially after preaching patience and building the core through the draft. Also, Moose will make more and unless Raymond's season is just insane; he's likely signing a 3 or 4 year bridge.
