Description
from what i’ve seen it doesn’t sound like bergy is coming back (his back, new child, emotional stuff after elimination, etc) and obviously the center depth is very thin behind zacha. bruins fans prob wont like giving up carlo but
-the defense still looks pretty good without him
-the forwards look nasty with scheif
-the jets likely aren’t very interested in many other pieces
-bruins shouldnt be giving away many more futures (ex. beecher)
so this is just my take on the idea that scheif could go to boston. snags to this would be bruins reluctance to give up carlo, evening up the trade (this would be the starting point imo) and then the jets’ own center depth to address after. bruins and jets fans lemme know what you think

Carlo has a 10 team no trade lost so that's probably a no go. Also Carlo is not a player that should be traded for a top 6 center. It's just changing what problem they have from a top 6 c to a top 4 rhd. This makes no sense for Boston. I feel like a 1st and debrusk for scheifele and something would work tho

I think the jets would need Debrusk more then Carlo, the back end is too filled up right now and without scheifele the top 6 gets very weak, if we move out some D (Dillon, Schmidt) then yeah Carlo would be great but your looking at Nino and Nams in your top 6

Totally disagree with that, Carlo would be the RD the Jets have needed since losing Trouba and Byfuglien, never been high on Debrusk either, 2nd line forwards are alot easier to acquire than top 4 RD

yup i did forget to mention another snag would be carlo’s no trade clause. to be fair tho, if i had to choose between a 1C and a 2RHD, i’d take the 1C every time

i think moving dillon would be quite easy (schmidt not so much) and that would leave a nicely balanced d corps of
jomo-demelo
schmidt-carlo
samberg-pionk
yes the jets would need someone to step up or find another C but i dont think debrusk would be a great target because there’s already connor ehlers nino and one of vilardi/perfetti playing top 6 winger, and i don’t think debrusk has ever played C before

Jets could easily just run
Jomo melo
Samberg pionk
Dillon/heinola schmidt and capo as the 7th

The fact is sure a 1c is great for Boston but at the expense of a great shutdown rhd is not how they should address that issue. Debrusk makes sense as the jets could use a change and getting a 1st and debrusk who could be a good 50-60 point winger would be great. Boston is trying to fill a hole by making one but to fill the top 6 center in another way (debrusk again makes loads of sense)
