Why? An over the hill Toews would bring more to the table than Krebs.

Toews was also 63.1% on 941 faceoffs taken last season

You could be right. There's also the possibility that he was riding out his time in Chitown during their stripdown/tank seasons of the past two seasons and still is a viable player in a reduced role.

The only thing he’s good at is face offs right now. Plus we all know Adams is done he’s not making anymore moves.
