So, the issue for the Canes here is that they need another top 9 forward. Nylander is an upgrade on Teuvo, but it doesn't fix the Canes issues. I see the idea, but now Carolina's LHD situation with Brodie, Slavin, Skjei, Orlov... there's just not enough RHD and that does matter for the Canes, it's why they didn't go after Brodie when he was a free agent.

Also, the lines on here... like, you should get an infraction for 4th line Jarvis

AND Marty on the 3rd line instead of Noesen is an L

i see what you’re saying about the handedness but brodie does normally play right side

so you guys would essentially just switch the 3rd and 4th lines? i mean, this is what happens when you have a deep team, good players at the top and bottom of the lineup. i put nylander with bunting for the toronto connection and iirc staal has chemistry with fast but im not a canes fan so

The issue is that it makes it so difficult to move the puck and to shoot. Carolina's entire scoring system is built on point shots with traffic and getting tips and deflections. It's why Burns and Skjei had so many goals. Brodie would be on the off-side which makes that so much more difficult. He'd have to play on the left, and then you have that major overload.
