Joseph seems overpaid, no? I don't think SJ does this as both Lindblom and Joseph are small contracts but slightly overpaid and Joseph is 3x as long.

He's overpaid based on last year but not based on 2021-22, 30 pts in 69 games, all at ES or PK and elite metrics on the PK

Despite a down season, he still paced for 24 pts and was doing his job defensively and on the PK

That said, you're right, Sharks don't do it because of term, unless they see Joseph as a guy they'd want for years (and then extend after?)
