Description

I’d like the Blues to trade one forward and one defenseman. Since the defense are hard to predict, trading either Kapanen or Vrana would be smart for the Blues. It doesn’t need to be now, but at some point during the season before the TDL would be perfect. I’d like to receive a B-level RD prospect.

As for Devils fans, getting Vrana at a low cap hit is pretty low risk. Tell me this postseason line up is not scary:

For Blues fans, we are creating opportunity for Neighbours here to crack the Top 6 and help him succeed. I think he plays well with Schenn and played really well with Blais during the WC. With this trade the Blues can then decide who they want to play in the NHL next year between Bolduc, Dean, and Snuggerud. With 3 replaceable contracts off the books potentially (Blais, Kapanen, and Sundqvist), there are unlimited opportunities for the Blues to prepare for next year.

So not losing much here.

Very hard pass. Devils don't need a project 3rd line winger, rather go with prospects. Also, Casey will outplay that value.

All I’ll say is if another timeline happens where Vrana scores the Game 7 OT winner for the Devils to win the cup, the value would be there
