I laughed out loud at the conditions on that pick

If these are the contracts guys are earning you will still easily be in last place

Askarov simply isn't moving imo. Lankinen is there for a year while Askarov cuts his teeth. He is there next year barring a complete implosion.

He is one of the best 3 outside the NHL.... Wallstadt, Wolf, Askarov. Debate who is the best.

So, unless a package included a Caufield or Suzuki, Trotz says no. Simply no way a player with that kind of caliber moves for futures...... especially given where Nashville is at. Building from.the net out.

As a Preds fan, I think Wolf is better of the three. He spent the last two AHL seasons putting on an absolute clinic. He's insane. I would put Asky over Wallstedt though.

We do, however, say no ty to this package. Trotz offered Askarov, 15oa, and 24oa for picks 4 and 5. Both MTL and SJS said no.
I wouldn't move Askarov unlesss it's for someone game changing. Even then, how often do you get a top notch goalie prospect? Kinda glad we kept him and our picks.

if they said no, they're probably unwilling to take the gamble on a goalie prospect. Meaning that he isn't being moved. I as the Habs would say no to this deal.
