So yeah, I basically failed to get it under the $71M cap. That means we better hope the cap will be higher than that. $71.5M would be awesome!

Or that Saad signs for less money. Or that there's actually a chance Bickell can get traded without having to retain money or take a bad contract back in return. Or alternatively, get DeKeyser (+ low pick) instead of Kindl/Mantha from Detroit.

Fingers crossed. I don't see Kruger or Nordstrom taking any less than what I gave them.

I thought you did a very good job. All realistic moves and costs. Which probably speaks to the difficulty of the Blackhawks' situation. I think Saad will want more and Bowman will have to trade Kruger.
