I believe getting picks would be a waste of Holden especially when he is still an upgrade over Staal and we can afford both of them right now. Keep him until the trade deadline and decide. I would prefer a package deal with Holden and Nash to a contender for a youngish (24-26) year old center/winger to play along side Lias or Hayes to help with FW if needed. I posted a team involving CLB and Boone Jenner and Nash and Holden and I think it is a seriously good trade for both sides and may help CLB over the hump in the Playoffs

I just don't see Nash getting dealt before the season starts, maybe not at all. Holden's return via trade is a win if it gets you better than a 4th round pick. Don't think he's going to be the centerpiece to any deal for 2C or 3C. (Bozak etc ...) NYR also wants to give guys like Pionk & Bereglazov (he can opt out to the KHL if he doesn't make the Big club) some looks on the back end. Yeah, i'd love to move Staal over Holden but , I just don't see that happening and they won't sit Staal either, best for NYR if he regains some of his form & becomes a solid 3rd pair D, that isn't over matched against other teams top 2 lines. Chicago or Edmonton could have a real interest in Holden but i don't see a top 6 forward or top prospect coming back.
