yes, hes projected to be around 3 million but the term is the issue for sure ... but he could bet on himself for a 1 year deal with higher value then drop the number down th enext year for longer term like CAR did

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>Ok the value to dump Nemeth might be accurate, however Montreal is not in need of draft picks. We already have 23 over the next 2 drafts with 33 out of 50 contracts to sign. We have 15 FA's or RFA's to resign to fill out the Habs (3) and Rocket (10) roster spots. Of those FA's and RFA's we are definitely resigning Romanov, R Pitlick, Primeau, Schueneman, Pezzetta, Brook, Vejdemo and Montembeault (7). We may also consider resigning Clague, Ouellet, T. Pitlick, Perrault, Dauphin, Lagesson. That is 13 out of 17 available contract spots. We quite simply do not need more picks, we need prospects under contract who will make resigning some of our AHL players (Clague, Brook, Vejdemo, Ouellet, Dauphin ect...) unnecessary.</div></div>
Yeah you’re probably right I just selected a random low placed team that’s rebuilding … he’s so bad I don’t know if we could even move him at all

yeah those were both very stupid. Kreider vs Miller … sorry but 1 great season from Kreider doesn’t Cis ge the fact that JT is a 100 point guy … awful trades for the rangers just awful so I hear you but I just don’t see either of them being that good, they look a little lost but you’re probably right they don’t move either at least not until trade deadline next season

Gourde is an extremely good 2 way center who has a reasonable cap for a few more years … Chytl at best is 2nd line center and Kakko meh I don’t think he’s gonna be much of anything. The thought here is next year … so we regress or do we progress and honestly adding Goirde and Wennberg with good seasons from Laf and Krav could be a huge difference maker … it’s just a different mentality … I’m looking for immediate results with the ability to trade guys if needed in a few years

Those who say easy pass for the rangers are not in their right minds. Kakko at best is a Mid 6 forward and Krebs is a Center who can play 3rd line immediately … yes Schneider is a tough pill to swallow but 2 1st round picks in top 5 and top 15 are worth the trade, maybe squeeze them for another … counter offer is Kakko for Krebs … any day of the week

They moved to Houston, thus the name, obviously new ownership the whole shabang ... Kane might not have many choices. If thats a no go then you go after Giroux or 2 players instead of 1. There's ways around it and teams are strapped for cap space.

Not saying this team makes the playoffs out the gate but the Central division is going to get worse next season so you never know also Kane would get people in the stands and you coudl use his cups and future HOF status as marketing material along with Holtby

If the Rangers acquire Eichel the only way to sign Fox, Law and Kakko would be to trade Zib or lose him for nothing. Which would be stupid. Eichel is not going to be a Ranger unless they unload 10 million going back to Buffalo. That would mean Strome + Krieder which isn't going to happen. Sorry but this will never happen and Kulak is a good player but WAY too much for him

I think you are overvaluing Soucy ... Reinhart played center when Eichel was out and thrived, Sure he can't win a face-off but his scoring and possession numbers would be even more outstanding with Panarin.

I don’t think Jost is very good. When Kadri was removed from the lineup it should a huge issue, their bottom 6 centers are not good. I think a high 1st round for Chytl is 100% accurate seeing that he was exactly that and has established himself as at a he very least a decent 3rd liner who is young
As for the Boston trades, I’d love to see how Boston gets younger on D with moving cap while not being terrible ... sure I agree Howden and Hajek are crap but honestly Boston’s system has allowed them to win (and their top 6) but their D is awful and old and the bottom 6 is bad too. But I’m not a Boston expert so to each their own

Nick Paul is solid Defensively, but he's a bottom 6 Forward entering a Contract year.
And you're also asking for Howden, on top of that. If anything, I would go as high as Howden and a 4th. Good player, but not a desperate need for 1 year of him.</div></div>
Wait, Chytl aside, you think Howden is an NHL caliber 4th line center? Howden is terrible, he’s a cap dump in this trade, that’s why I’m giving up Chytl because you have to overpay to move Howden. Howden is not good

06/07 ELC 70GP
07/08 4.25M bridge 72GP

I’m not arguing with you that the price is scary but at his age and with his career already I think he’s going to get paid or maybe walk away. Don’t forget he was paid handsomely in Russia and would be paid even more now. He’s also 25 years old. Hank was also grossly underpaid then cost us a fortune in his later years so this could be a way to build some good faith and maybe save some millions down the road ... there’s no wrong answer here. We will see what happens

Yeah I don’t think so. Goalies with his caliber and his age are getting paid. If he’s not paid what he wants, he will leave. The term is really important here. I am not a fan of max contracts as they’re stupid, see Kreider and almost every other max contract ever. 4 years is a safe term that capitalized on his prime and allows him to make a decision on his future. Also it gives us time to groom another goalie as needed

Literally be a cap dump. Also, you can’t have all young kids on the team to specially in shut down roles. You need someone who knows what to do. Nick Paul played for a garbage Ottawa team and did very well, one would assume he would play even better for the Rangers and he’s very cheap which is essential for this team for the next few years

Chytl has potential but is a terrible Center. His value is not high. Nick Paul is a very capable and defensively reliable forward that could ensure a competitive and responsible 3/4 line. Should Chytl command more, yes, will he, doubtful. You can’t trade for players that teams don’t need to move and not overpay.

Too many D
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>The rangers have stated they will be buying out tony.
I think this might be a case of too many D, but not enough good ones.</div></div>
I mean Fox is top 2 right now in Norris talk, Lindgren his partner is a beast this season. Trouba has his good and bad days, Miller is young and going to be great. Reunanen is almost a PPG in AHL and has an outstanding international track record. Also, not include don this roster is Nils Lindquist, who absolutely dominated the SHL breaking records. So who is to say whether its the story of too many or not enough, either way Hajek is redundant at the very least albeit capable and thus should be traded for future assets. Maybe WPG could use him, who's to say.

You are correct as to the buyout, sorry I forgot. So minus approx 375k from cap. As for the Jets, their defense is not good, without Helle they are not good. Sure they can score but defense is not a strong suit. Hajek is capable and Howden has improved tremendously on defense and would provide them with much needed bottom 6 depth. I am not sure how highly touted Henri is but it doesn't seem like he is anything special as of yet. With the signing of DuBois and with Schilefe and with Cole Perfetti ready to make the NHL next year along with Adam Lowry they have all 4 center spots tied up for the foreseeable future. But hey I am no expert, who knows. I doubt it happens but wouldnt it be fun.
