1) chytil wont be traded for a late first round pick
2) when you say boston "needs to get younger", it doesnt mean acquire players just because theyre young which is all hajek and howden really have to offer since theyre not good thus why bos wont want them

Howden and Hajek both suck. No thanks. But you can have Chris Wagner and Jarred Tinordi's signing rights for free if you want since you need "players who are established and can be “tougher to play against”"

Chytil isnt worth trading a 1st for. Avs can use that pick in more meaningful way either drafting it or trading it in a bigger move

Howden, Hajek and Reunanen combined wont get you a Curtis Lazar or a 1st round pick. Boston doesn't want our trash.

I think that’d be a steal for COL in the long run

whos time at C is Chytil stealing in the middle 6....Newhook or Jost. Unless they abandon 1 of them being a centre or want to convert Chytil to a winger, seems a bit redundant

I don’t think Jost is very good. When Kadri was removed from the lineup it should a huge issue, their bottom 6 centers are not good. I think a high 1st round for Chytl is 100% accurate seeing that he was exactly that and has established himself as at a he very least a decent 3rd liner who is young

As for the Boston trades, I’d love to see how Boston gets younger on D with moving cap while not being terrible ... sure I agree Howden and Hajek are crap but honestly Boston’s system has allowed them to win (and their top 6) but their D is awful and old and the bottom 6 is bad too. But I’m not a Boston expert so to each their own

Jost is a 3C...Newhook is a 2C. Jost in the 3C role is one of the better defensive fwds in the league, A top PKer and was putting up a 045ppg offesnive output once he become the 3c halfway through the season.

Chytl wont dethrone Newhook as a 2C so then you are just having Chytl or Jost as the 3C and with how good defesnive Jost is. Whats the point. Value is fine but fit doesnt make any sense

just for the record I didn’t say Chytl was going to be a Center ... I said liner, I don’t think he’s destined to be a Center

Anywhere he plays ans as a result he’s gotta be moved from the Rangers ... ultimately I don’t care who wants him I just don’t see him being better than Kakko, Laf, Kravstov, Kreider (were stuck with) or anyone else for that matter in top 9
