This is more realistic, I don't get why so many people think Kane will sign for league minimum with the Rangers or Leafs. Plus Buffalo is his hometown.

I could see him signing somewhere that’s seen as closer to a “Cup contender” than the Sabres,
but he’s not signing a league minimum type deal- no way

Make sense. The $ would be hard to turn down and join an exciting young team. I don't love the fit with Mittlestadt on 2nd line. Needs another goal scorer who will get dirty goals too imo.

He would much rather sign for $6 million in Buffalo than $1 million with a contender or $2.5 million with a quasi contender.
