Description
With Marner and Matthews playing on the top PK, the leafs will lead the league in shorthanded goals. Kampf and Jarnkrok as the 2nd PK unit should dominate teams #2 unit.
If Rielly doesn't shoot the puck he is replaced on the top PP. Bert is a true front of the net presence, so he is on the #1 PP. The 2nd PP unit with JT at center will almost always win the faceoff battle. With Domi's passing, JT and Knies crashing the net and Klingburg and Jarnkrok shooting the puck. The 2nd PP unit could be the best #2 unit in the league.
Domi's playmaking ability on the 3rd line with Jarnkrok's shot and Kampf around the net play will be better offensively than last seasons #3 unit.
The 4th line will hit everything in sight and actually stickup for teammates.
The top 2 lines will obviously produce big numbers.
Gio stays with the big team, like Simmonds did, he will retire if claimed. Gio if retires he does count against the cap of the team that has his contract.

Klingberg will get the opportunity to be on PP1 unless his injury and Timmins get in the way.

Idk if that is the case. Marner on the point is the best spot for him as his options are endless. Klingburg being a RH shot is a issue unless they plan on him playing the left side. Rielly actually did a one timer the other night, he knows he has to shoot the puck and not that crappy wrister.

Chances are they bump down Nylander (not Tavares) as he's playing C, and replace him with a LH shot. Then, the only option that gets taken from Marner is passing it directly to Klingberg (he can but will be awkward), and Klingberg can still easily receive the puck from the circles more or less. That being said, everyone will have a short leash, so if Rielly is proving to be more than effective on the point, I would expect to see him back on PP1.
