I know Leaf fan are trying to squeeze in the young big three and another high priced star but really I don't know if there is cap room. There are a lot of RFAs which will be receiving bonus money (hopefully in they are good enough to be on the team). And the following year there are a number players needing new contracts with really just Marleau leaving.

Think Matthews is a touch high, I mean, is he honestly 500k from McJesus? No. He probably hits 10.5-11.5 or so...

Low on Marner and Nylander. Marner could hit 8 with another great year, Nylander 7+

Then again, Maybe they give discounts and one of them gets a shorter bridge deal

Chiarelli has ruined the salary landscape for everyone. There is no way Marner is worth anything close to 8 nor is he worth more than Nylander. This team will never be a dynasty if they're overpaid coming out of their elc's, look at Chicago now with 2 guys making 10+.

Matthews would have to put up a 45/45 season to get anything close to 10 mill and Marner and Nylander have to be north of 70-75 points a piece to be in the 7 mill range.

We should all be praying Lou knows what he's doing with these 3 like he did with Brown.

Palhal: I know its not really feasable to throw another expensive contract into the mix I just did that for fun.

adamitis: I hate bridge deals for high end players, they don't work long term. (end up costing the team more money). and I I paid them what I thought was fair; discounts all the way around to ensure team competitiveness, even with Matthews as I think he will be the second best player of his generation and this is a couple years down the road and contract values go up every year.
