Description
With Method gone, Ottawa needs a good replacement whether they acquire one or use someone on the team. If a trade is involved then they might only receive a rental player and it could be at the deadline. Actually, side note: I can't think about what they could do so I'm looking for opinions.

Edler?

Haha, nuxfan and I are on the same page this morning, I'm agreeing with everything he posts! I've thought Edler would be an ideal partner for Karlsson for a few years now. Not sure what the return would be from Ottawa though.

I think I put a decent trade together. Thoughts?

Vancouver doesn't have much of a need for Hammond. They have Markstrom and Nilsson right now, who are both better than Hammond. With Demko coming in the next few years, there'd be no room for Hammond. I don't know a ton about Edler's game, but I'd imagine a decent prospect and a third could get him. Vancouver would probably need more than what you have here, but the idea of Edler to Vancouver makes sense

Hammond could be used as a good backup if things go south with Nilsson or if one of them get injured plus Hammond is a UFA at the end of the season so they can just get rid of him.
