Liljegren probably isn;t going up in the lineup, expiring RFA with 6 yrs in pros and hasn;t developed as much as expected. So its a cap savings from samsonov to vladar, (although no real value in the players themselves) and a top 4 defensive dman for liljegren who I am presuming is still just 3RD, or can be replaced with Timmins and a 1st thats THREE drafts away.

I think Tanev at 50% probably gets a 1st in 2024 from a number of teams, so Tanev and a bit of cap savings (samsonov) will cost something of value besides a 2026 1st.

Leafs still don’t do that tanev has half the value that that offer has, if the flames want lily for tanev realistically they gotta pay a 3rd team to retain another 50% on tanev leafs don’t add a first and flames in fact gotta add a second that’s the only way tanev for lily goes through and I can’t see your gm doing that
