yes but just playing the model of a good Rielly pair - see Schenn, Boosh with the Leafs - don't play RD1 mins but seems to work well enough pairing Rielly with that type of player, allowing us to form a Brodie - Tanev shutdown pair. Boosh is the RD3 on this team but just playing the chemistry, mins would go Rielly - Tanev - Brodie - Liljegren - McCabe - Boosh in that order

Hey at least you send some semblance of a prospects unlike the moron who posts this trade daily. It's a bad prospect but at least the idea is getting closer.

The Flames taking on Klingberg is strictly a service to the Leafs, there is no need for the Flames to take on another teams garbage at this point. And if it's "to flip him" no one wants him, he was traded for next to nothing last season and has a higher cap hit not than he was traded for last year. If the Flames are selling off for futures they will find a better pick than the Leafs 1st or a closer to NHL ready prospect without doing the other team a big favour.

to me Tanev is worth a late first and I'd be surprised to see you get anything more, and if they're selling off they'll have the cap space to take on Klingberg to make the deal work, so the Leafs send a low-mid level prospect as a thanks for that. This would be at the deadline, so Klingberg would only be on the Flames for like a month and a half - and might actually work as a stopgap so they don't have to rush any young guys up if they sell off 2-3 D at the TDL

They're full of young guys who have been in and out of the line up so far this season DeSimone, Gilbert, Solovyov, Oesterle is a fine stop gap and Poirier has been hurt who is the most NHL ready of all of them. There is no need to shove Klingberg in a line up where he's not needed. Tanev retained at 50% is worth a 1st round pick no doubt about it, the Flames would be better off just taking a pick or a better prospect than taking on Klingberg for a pick that I assume you are thinking will be bottom 5 in the draft. The way Klingberg plays at this rate a low end prospect is not enough to justify a team taking him on. Klingberg to Calgary makes less and less sense every day. Tell your buddy in the comments above, I think he's quick on the ignore list trigger cause he can't take no for an answer.
