Let's be clear here Trotz did a great job retooling during the last TDL
He traded Granlund (2nd), Ekholm + 6th (Barrie, Schaefer 2022 32nd AO 1st, and 4th), Jeannot (Cal Foote 2017 14th OA, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th), Niederreiter (2nd).
Trotz took advantage of a feeding frenzie when other teams were trying to load up and walked away with two former first round picks, 2 firsts, 3 seconds, a third, 2 fourths and a fifth.
Than Nashville almost made the playoffs..
All of the above trades were gross over payments (other than Niederreiter).
