If there comes a time to move McDavid, I don't know there's a scenario where EDM retains much of anything and that will be the struggle. EDM still has pieces to build around if he moves on, so they'll still want that space.

I think whatever team trades for him will have the onus of moving heaven and earth to make the space lol

Maybe a third team would need to get involved.

Wow basically garbage for a generational player like McDavid, Plus Holland eats roughly $18,750,000. 3 1st round picks mean nothing to a team that's trying to contend for a cup right now. Kakko is the only decent piece and the rest are scraps. Any team in the league could blow away this pathetic offer for McDavid. And actually give Edmonton meaningful pieces.

Scraps? And KAKKO is the only decent piece? You're absolutely buggin my man. The Rangers would be on the losing end of this trade, not Edmonton

No way EDM retains as much as a penny on a McDavid contract, if you do not have the cap space for him it is your problem not EDM. Besides Zibanejad + other pieces is traded if NYR trades for 1st C.
