    Parayko is wayyyy more valuable than RNH. STL would not do this.

    If we are talking about strictly defense zone play. Parayko is the best defenseman on the blues

    Is he even that, though? Consider this:

    Ranked by GA/60, Parayko was 4th best Blues defenceman in 2016-17.
    Ranked by CA/60, Parayko was 4th best Blues defenceman in 2016-17.
    Ranked by DFA/60, Parayko was 4th best Blues defenceman in 2016-17.

    Bortuzzo, Gunnarsson and Shattenkirk (!) all ranked ahead of Parayko in these areas. Granted, they all played slightly more sheltered minutes than Parayko, but not incredibly so. Parayko played elites 31% of the time, while the others were 23% - 25%.
