Description

I like this trade for Calgary as well, your getting a first, and 2 young guys that can very well be impact players given the ice time, along with a 3rd, and 5th for retention. I like this for Calgary just as much as i like it for Toronto. I think Calgary gets WAY more here then if they sell them seperatly, between the young assets in Abruzzese and Holmberg, it makes alot of sense. I can already see the headlines of Abruzzese and Holmberg blosseming into 40 point guys in the future. As well as a 1st, 3rd, and 5th, this is just great value for Calgary.

I just dont see the fit of Kane

He needs to be in the top 6 to thrive. He wont get that here

Hes also a defensive liability and wont get pp 1 time

So yea would love to see him but lets be real fit aint there.

I don’t see any value or interest in Holmberg or Klingberg from Calgary.

The rest might get you Tanev 50% retained (2024-1st + Abruzzese +Villeneuve), but there’s nothing there that would get you Zadorov as well
