Contract wise. Hartman still has a year on ELC. Also, Hartman produced more and had overall much better underlying statistics. But you're right maybe a 2nd is too much. Maybe a 4th is closer.

I don't like the idea of trading Hartman. But I am nervous about his next contract. You're 100% correct about his stats. They're pretty darn good. His 5v5 are darn close to conor sheary with two exceptions. Less goals and his centerman wasn't f'ing Sydney Crosby. It was tanner kero. I think he's the #1RW next year. Saad toews Hartman. I think bowman wants to get him on a new contract sooner rather than later.

There are even rumors that the nixing of the JVR deal was because the hawks didn't want to trade Hartman. Albeit rumors.
