Ugh, can you imagine even with a cap of 86mil, having 68mil tied up in 10 players? With few prospects and little youth?

I don't think this team is going to get anywhere near a cup.
The chances of Pickering being NHL ready are low, and I think Tanev would get better offers elsewhere. We need to figure out our bottom pairing, but it won't look like that.
Forward depth is still also a major issue. DOC-Eller-Zohorna has looked really good so far, but I cannot consider them to be the 3rd line of a contender.
Ned's looked good, but he's looked good in 3 NHL games and an AHL game. As it stands, he's something of a reclamation project. Can he handle a starter's workload? Can we expect Blomqvist to pick up the slack? Jarry's biggest issue is a lack of consistency, and I don't think Nedeljkovic and Blomqvist come close to solving that.
