So EDM doesn't need to make a change in goaltending?

The Oilers have zero cap space to take on salary. They get $1.6 mil in space by swapping Skinner with Montembeault. They shed Foegele's $2.75mil cap. Get a NHL quality defensemen that still has top 4 potential signed for cheap at $1.4mil. and pay a draft pick to make up the cap difference....

Where is the NHL quality defenseman they're getting? Harris? EDM doesn't need player who will be good down the line. They need player who are impactful right now. Harris is OK. He has potential, but he doesn't move the needle for EDM.

There's nothing about this trade that warrants EDM sending a 2nd over.

MTL got a 1st for taking Monahan's $6mil salary last year. in 2019 CAR got a 1st for taking Marleau's $6.25. Is it really that unreasonable to ask for a 2nd to take $3mil in cap??
