If you overpay for bottom 6 forwards and 3rd pair defenders you are just wasteful. Nothing in the Seattle trade improves the team it's just more of the same at the cost of a young forward who's been playing well (Robertson) and a highly regarded defensive prospect.

And giving up Timmins is bad. The guy is really improving and deserves to play on this team. He produces better than all but Rielly on the Blueline and the leafs have no offence from the Blueline beyond Reilly and Timmins.
