Zero chance Sharks use their last retention slot on a 7 year deal. They are already retaining on 2 multi year deals

Sharks are already retaining on Burns and Karlsson, Fat chance they're eating $14,000,000 on Hertl and wasting their last retention slot on this joke of an offer. Plus i doubt Hertl waives his NMC for Winnipeg.

Nope…not trading Salomonnsson.
For that price, I’d rather keep Stanley for depth

I like Hertl, even if he'd waive which is highly unlikely I'm not sure I'd want to saddle myself to that contract, he's 30 and the extensions for Hellebuyck and Scheifele are gonna be bad enough, not sure it's wise to add another long term deal to a guy on the other side of 30.
