Canucks don't need Pat Maroon.
However, the MTL trade I like, but I would be heartbroken if Canucks traded Hoglander and a couple of draft picks.

Hoglander > Monahan. No reason for the Canucks to add in this deal. Monahan hasn’t been very good, there are way better targets to go after

Hoglander makes the 4th line a threat, is high up in goals/60 meaning he makes the absolute most of his minutes, has good possession numbers, passes the eye test, and will be a mid to top 6 forward very soon. He will also be cheap to resign. Losing him for an average rental would be a mistake. The Canucks are great right now, but I don't think they are at a place where they can sacrifice the future for the now, yet.
