Description

They trade Monahan and Savard in the next 2 TDL for picks plus prospects as well unless they decide to make a run this season which they should in a shallow draft year! The amount of difference between very bad teams and bad to average teams is massive this season. Ducks, CBJ, Sharks, Hawks, Senators are another level of awful at the bottom and cant be caught with the Habs more than a dozen pts up on them!
Make the final two games vs the Wings mean something in April. Which is all the more hilarious that they will do so before the Sabres/Senators 'faster and better' rebuilds

Please tell me why Zegras deserves a better return despite being a one dimensional, defensive trainwreck that cant play down the middle with Leo Carlsson and McTavish in Anaheim. lots of fallacies in your own argument.

Try to think for yourself. what difference with zegra and eichel could warrant a better return?

people said the same thing about eichel (bad defensively, lazy, not a winner, bad attitue, etc etc)

If you want to talk about real differences other than any opinion, Eichel was over a PPG player and a center. Neither is Zegras.

Caufield isn't available. Zegras is available according to Frank Seravalli and Verbeek's tastes would suggest something is cooking. As I said if the Ducks feel that Zegras is a superstar like Hughes feels Caufield is that superstar, clearly, after the KH presser then Z isnt getting dealt in the 1st place. That is the difference. Among others.

I would not trade them 1 for 1. I love Caufield! But you have to analyze the bias in your trade. The Ducks have not had a lot of 60+ point players in recent years. It's a tough pill to swallow that you trade a young one who is gonna get better for a single stab at a "maybe".
