Most think he has (and there are reports that this is the case) been doggin' it because the team can not find a trade partner for him these last two years. The Caps have continued to let him play, to their detriment, but I think they are trying to keep it off the front page as much as possible. The good thing about Brian McClellan GM is that he does care about the reputation of how the Caps do business. His salary is probably the issue as to why a team won't take a chance on him but that might change after this season because the risk really drops after this year with only a year left on his contract.
