Hands down the best target for the Canes. The only question is who wins the auction. And that’s a function of how many bidders there are at the time.
The Mrazek extension in the current cap environment proves the value in the Allen contract.
Only 1 year of risk. No decent UFA goalie is signing for a 1 year term this off-season. The Habs or someone else will gladly take him back in the off-season and Carolina can get some of that return back. He can be flipped at the deadline next year again for value.
