Description
Can hang onto RyJo until TDL or offer to retain him down to $2 million and meet him to anyone who will toss us a 2nd round pick for him.

Throw money at Roy, even if we take Leshunov in the first round, we should give him a couple years to marinate and develop. It's time for Helleson to make the jump with Warren and Luneau hitting the AHL and needing top 4 time there. He's on second pair mainly because Fowler will be his partner (put a vet with a rookie) I think Vaake has shown he's worth keeping on, especially for when needed to cycle in with Gudas as a shutdown pair.

I thematically like putting Kakko with Zegras more to help with that lines shutdown ability, and a better playmaker to help try and ignite his scoring ability, but Laine can also benefit from being alongside Zegras. That said, the intent is to roll 3 scoring lines, and McTavish has become a sneaky good playmaker in his own right.

could be RyJo instead of Strome if CBJ prefers less term. Stroke can play right wing in the top 6 well enough and with the added ability it play center when needed is a good utility piece and good locker room presence, seems to be what CBJ could use these days.

That offer probably gets Vatrano only, not both.

Patrik Laine is guaranteed to miss at least 25% of the season, I seriously doubt he even has that much value.

    I don’t think it’s worth dropping a 1st of Laine.

Buddy, I'm a Ducks fan, I like Lundestrom, but I'm not going to act like he's a huge value piece nor untouchable. If Verbeek s interested in taking a flier on Kakko, I can see this deal being done.

Idea is that it's pick 28 or later, it's not that good of a draft this year I don't think, and CBJ doesn't have to move Laine, we're not going to get him for scraps. Is there risk associated with it? Sure, but the kind of players you find at 28 are Max Jones and Sam Steel. We're not finding a top 6 piece down there.
