I don't get the Scott Laughton thing. What about his resume says top 6 player? He's not a goal scorer, his point totals aren't noteworthy, he doesn't drive offense, he's terrible defensively. What does he bring to the top 6 that Ridly Greig isn't already doing better?

Also if Ottawa is paying that money to Tanev, it's better to move Brannstrom and get a capable 3rd RD. Run the three LD as LD, and try and balance minutes between the pairs.

Kinda crazy to be at the cap with a 20 man roster. Laughton isn't needed and an overpay for Tanev in $$$ and term.
