Description

If Sergachev is out for the rest of the year, Montreal could offer Matheson, possibly with retention. He is not a huge cap hit and his offense from the defence position could make up for Tampa losing Sergachev. Tampa seems to be kind of an "all-in" team each year, so maybe this could work.

They will have to see if the guys they have can handle the additional load. I know he's older, but I am not betting against Hedman. If they go on a 4-5 game slide, I see them considering something like this.
